Joel and Michael have been best friends since they were old enough to ride bikes — nearly four decades of it. Joel’s son Zander grew up right alongside. When the three of us decided to start VivianOps together, there wasn’t much to decide about culture: we’re family, and we were going to build it like one. We work the way small Midwest shops have always worked: plainly, and with handshakes that hold.
